Junior Blasters (boys, girls aged 5-7)
is for kids new to cricket with participants building their skills through fun, game based activities. The games are designed for small groups to ensure every child gets a go, allowing them to test and learn new skills. When they have mastered the basics they will be ready to graduate to Master Blasters where they can play modified games of cricket.
Master Blasters (boys, girls aged 7-10)
is a super fun, social, safe, cricket program. Much shorter than traditional cricket, with a maximum of 90 minutes playing time. All the equipment is supplied and the games take place at Brighton Beach Oval at Saturday 9am.
Under 11 Rookies (boys, girls aged 8-10)
First team based experience playing in the ISEC competition on Saturday mornings. The club has built a fun and inclusive family environment for our juniors. The coaching focuses on developing strong fundamental cricket skills.
Our U13 girls play on Wednesday nights in the All Girls Cricket Competition. The competition is designed for girls who are just learning about the game of cricket. The girls learn how to be a valued member of a team, develop a deeper love of the game while creating a proud community with other players and their families. Our team embraces participation, having fun and building skill.
Our U13 team plays on synthetic pitches in the ISEC competition on Saturday mornings.
Our U15 and U17 boys play on turf pitches in the ISEC competition on Sunday mornings. The playing group features numerous representative players, ensuring a productive environment for young cricketers to challenge themselves and grow. The group will be led by Director of Junior Coaching Kurt Heigl, with the assistance of Tom Williamson. Kurt is a Premier Cricketer with Kingston Hawthorn whilst Tom is a star 1st XI bowler for the Dragons. The club has made a big effort to secure a specialist coaching group to aid in skill development and match day performance. We offer an easy transition to senior cricket, with four senior turf sides and two father-son sides.
