Monday Wrap 16th December - It's like Christmas came early

Prior to our Dragons Monday Wrap, the club would like to congratulate Will Hunter from GameFace and Johannes Risseeuw who split the $1000 draw on Sunday afternoon. It’s like Christmas came early and it’s all thanks to Home Base Share who sponsored the day!

Dragons Monday wrap brought to you by HelloWorld Travel Bentleigh, the Travel Professionals!

Senior Men's

As has unfortunately been the case for most of this year, our 1st & 3rd XI Men’s Sides did not see any action this weekend. The 2nd XI continued their strong form for the season thanks to the Campbell brothers while the 4th XI suffered a shock first loss for the season.

1st XI: BDCC vs. Bayside 1/12 (2) match abandoned

2nd XI: BDCC 7/164 def Bayside 5/146 (L. Campbell 55, B. Campbell 1/7 off 8)

3rd XI: BDCC def. Old Mentonians on forfeit

4th XI: BDCC 7/158 vs CHAG 3/162

Senior Women’s

Our 1st XI women’s side took home a well rounded team weekend in the second round of their one day season. While Ash Wilson and Merrin Pertzel were the strong contributors each player played their role when required. It was a tougher day for the 2nd XI after posting a strong score of 146 lead by Helena Johnson’s 62*, they were unable to defend their total against a strong Kingston Heath side.

A highlight from the weekend is the debut of Penny MacDonald in our women’s 2nd XI, daughter of club legend Alistair MacDonald.

1st XI: BDCC 3/131 def. Edinburgh 5/129 (A. Wilson 3/26, Pertzel 35*)

2nd XI: BDCC 5/146 def. by Kingston Heath 2/154 (Johnson 62*, Simpson-Rial 2/40)
